This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

Overboard

Well, tonight my little man went UP and OVER and out of his crib......and landed head first on the floor. Picture him diving off the side of his crib......all of his weight landed on his head and neck.

I was lying on the floor in his room (trying to get him to sleep) and all of a sudden he pulled himself up and went head first out of the crib and onto the floor.

I panicked (I don't know how anyone can stay calm when your baby is hurt)....thinking the worst, of course. But after he calmed down and caught his breath (and after I called Daddy and then Grandpa) I looked him over and he was fine. Grandpa suggested I keep him up for an hour though....just to watch him and make sure everything was OK!

So, that was my excitement for the night! I am now off to search the internet for Toddler beds. Operation Big Boy Bed....here we come!

Oh goodness! Glad he's alright. It's really scary when they tumble head first, Kellar has this small chair ( it looks like a grownups chair ) and he leaned over it one day and went straight over on his head and it looked horrible and it freaked Joey and I out! I was watching Nascar Sunday and it was in Arizona and I thought of you guys...

That would scare me to death.

When the girls were about 2 1/2 we were shopping at a grocery store. I never put them in the back of a cart because they might fall out, but this particular store has high sides, so i put one in the back and one up front.

I turned to pull something off the shelf and heard something hit the ground.
I thought they were touching the food and something fell off the shelf.
I turned around and saw Caitlyn lying on the ground not moving and not crying.

I rushed to pick her up and realized how she fell, she had landed on her coat's hoodie.
PRAISE GOD she landed and her head hit that soft cushioned hood and not straight to the ground.

Those tile floors would have surely cracked something open.

Ohhhh, gives me the chills remembering it.

I am glad your little man was okay.

Yup, guess it's time for a big boy bed.
