This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

My Big Boy

Doesn't he look so big in this picture?

He hasn't quite got the hang of riding his bike but he can put his feet on the pedals and pedal around once......he also likes to use his feet and scoot backwards!

Too Cute!

Here is a conversation I just had with a little girl in John's class...
Little girl: Hi Johnny. Hi Johnny's mom.
Me: Hi!
Little girl: Johnny's mom?
Me: Yes?
Little girl: Can Johnny come to my house for a play date?
Me: Sure. Tell your Mommy to call me.
She was so stinkin cute and she must like something about names ending in "y" because the first day of school she thought his name was Jack and she kept calling him Jackey.
Anyhow, John LOVES pre-school. In fact, yesterday he signed "school" then "play" then he pointed to the garage and signed "drive me there."
I have a good feeling that 2009 is going to be our best year yet!!!!! Things couldn't be better.
Below are just a few random pictures that we took over the weekend...

First Day of School

Well, John's at school and Mommy's sitting at home staring at the clock counting the minutes until I can go pick him up.
We dressed him in his adorable outfit that Aunt Shernaz gave him for his birthday, combed his hair, and off we went!

Walking up to his new school

Looking as handsome as ever

He loved the playground

So, right as we walked up to the classroom door he tripped and fell face first on the concrete.....not a good way to start the day. He's a champ though (as if you didn't already know that) and picked himself up (after a few tears) and was on his way. This boy amazes me!

Ohhhhhhhh...I can't wait to see his little face when I go and pick him up....in 56 minutes!!!!

And for the record...YES, I cried!!!!

Update:

I am happy to report that John had a fabulous first day at school. He didn't cry once...what a big boy! He loved playing on the playground and also enjoyed creating Mr. Potato Head.

Have I mentioned lately how proud I am of him?

Twas The Day Before...

...John's first day of preschool!!!!
Now, we just need to try and find a way to bring his teacher an apple without him eating part of it first:)

YES, he really was eating it!!!!

So, I am a little nervous about tomorrow....nervous for me, not him! I have never left him with anyone other than our parents and while I know he'll be in great hands, the thought of me leaving him with complete strangers (to him) makes my stomach turn.

Wish us luck!!!
