This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

Last Day

John's class had a "Water Day" on their last day of school. The kids rotated through various stations and had a blast doing so.

John jumping in the water like everyone else. Thanks Grams for helping him!!!

Chillin with his buddies.

John was given the very last water balloon.....but he shared it with his friends.

A great end to a great school year!

John's First Performance

I didn't get a lot of video but at least you get a glimpse of how absolutely adorable my little man is.....and how far he has come since starting preschool in January.

We are so proud and so thankful for his amazing teachers. We sure miss them this summer.

Summer Nights!

Can you guess what we had for dinner tonight?

I have to admit....having a Baskin Robins walking distance from your house is VERY dangerous.....and very delicious!!!!

We sure are having fun and loving these summer nights!

Catch Up

This is a very random picture post but I am trying to play catch up on my updates.....and well, this is the easiest way.

Papa and John trying out his new "Big Boy" bedding!

My little stinker getting into stuff that he's not supposed to:) I guess this one is partially Daddy's fault though....you can't leave ALL those baseballs out and expect the little guy to avoid them!

John and his adorable girlfriend, CJ! Do you think they can sit any further apart? Props to Auntie Corrie though for teaching CJ to keep her distance from the boys...tee hee. However, this boy is an exception....he comes from a GREAT family (and he's a great catch if you ask me!)

My little dipper! He's into dipping his food now......ranch is his first choice (just like his Mommy) and BBQ comes in second.

He's just too stinkin cute!!!

Best Cousin EVER

My 10 year old niece, Ashley, has been helping me out with John a few days a week. She has been amazing.....so helpful! And the bond these two share is heart warming. They both love each other so much and love spending time together.

Sniff Sniff

Where in the world did my baby boy go?

He is growing and changing daily and we couldn't be more proud of him! You haven't heard me say that before have you? Tee hee!!!

He is doing awesome in Music Therapy (in fact we are going to pay out of pocket for a 2nd class each week because it is helping tremendously with his speech).....he can now say (or try to say) all the sounds of the alphabet (he already knows them by sight, can put them in the correct order, and can sign the entire alphabet.) Yep, we are VERY proud.

Baby Girl News

I'll be 28 weeks tomorrow.....a HUGE milestone. However, we ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers for an uneventful 8 more weeks.

For those of you that do not know, her name will be Hope Amanda.....when John was born and in critical condition (meaning he wasn't supposed to make it through the night...numerous nights) one of his nurse's told us to hang onto hope. Her words stuck with us and that is exactly what we did...we put our faith in the Lord and held onto hope. We've always said that if we ever have a little girl we would name her Hope because of that. And her middle name....well, Daddy just loves the name Amanda and we DO NOT have any good family girl names:)
