This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

Our Weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend...doing a whole lot of nothing!
We played Baseball!

We enjoyed the cool weather and took advantage of the fresh air by leaving the windows opened.

We (John) pulled everything out of the pantry....and left it for Mommy to clean up!

We babysat Barkley while Grams and Grandpa went out of town.....John followed her around everywhere and laughed hysterically every time she licked his face.

We laid in Barkley's bed!!!

And, we played hide and go seek....John is such a good hider!

John even got to spend the night at Grams and Grandpas last night.

What a great weekend!!!

Brrrrrrrr...

OK....something is very wrong....the last few days here in AZ have been cold!!!! We went from 113 degrees on Monday to 56 degrees yesterday. We are definitely hitting some all time lows.....and loving it. We won't see this type of weather again until late October:)

On to other news....Thursday was my last day of teaching. It was a bittersweet day. I am ready to move on to bigger and better things but I will miss my co-workers (especially Michele who I job shared with) and students terribly. The good news is.....John will be going to school there so I will be able to be a home room mom...AND, hand pick his teachers (Nancy, you better stay put because we already have you picked out for 4th grade...tee hee.)

John is doing wonderful. His vomiting is (almost) a thing of the past. My advise to any and all parents that have been in my shoes....eliminate the MILK!!!! Rice milk is our new BFF.

He is also signing like crazy. The other day my mom looked in the back seat of the car and he was signing more music. Amazing!

Next week is our last music class:( He has done amazing in it so we'll be taking another class this summer.....and then another, and another, and another:) Swim lessons and playgroups are also on our list of summer activities.....AND, of course our vacation to Rhode Island, NY, and Boston....John's first plane ride. We cannot wait!!!

Now, I'll leave you with a little cuteness...

AND.......Happy 5th Anniversary to us!!!

Yes, 5 years ago today (it was 112 degrees) I married the most amazing man in the world.....aka, the hot guy from the gym:) It was the happiest day of my life!!!

Breaking News!

We have BIG news here folks...

Grams made John a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner and he ATE a fourth of it! Anyone who has a tube fed child knows just how exciting (and HUGE) this is.

Way to go Johnboy!!!

Whew....

...it's been one heck of a week!

Between the 2 jobs...I worked EVERY day last week. I know, I know...cry me a river! Most people do this every week..tee hee!

Anyhow, I missed my boy terribly but I am not so sure the feelings were mutual:) An entire week with Grams...what could be better?

Mom, you are amazing! Thank you for taking such good care of John (and us.) We appreciate and love you more than you'll ever know!

OK...I am off to work again:)

The Greatest Thing In The World...

...is being a Mommy!

I count my blessings every night and thank God for hand picking me to be the mommy of this amazing little micro-preemie. He is the light of my life and I couldn't be more proud of him and ALL of his accomplishments!
