This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

Busted

I love this picture for so many reasons...

1.  John looks so stinkin cute with my lipstick all over his face.
2.  Hope's face cracks me up.  She looks more worried than John and she's not even the one in trouble.
3.  LOVE that Jamie took a picture before he made him wash his face.

I love these crazy kids!!!

My All Star

We just got John's baseball pictures and I LOVE them.  He has his own baseball card too and will sign one if you want:)

I seriously cannot say enough great things about, The Miracle League of Arizona.  A true blessing for kids that are differently-abled!!!

This Girl

This girl cracks me up!  She put Johnny's (dirty) socks, SMO's, AFO's and shoes on all by herself so she could be just like her brother.

She also said yesterday, "Hurry Mommy, I need to drink some water so I don't hibernate!"  This was after I told them to drink a lot of water while we were outside swimming so they don't get DEHYDRATED.

The Day After

The day after our field trip to the beach looked like this.

Hopie slept on the couch for a good two hours and Mommy and John both slept for four hours in our own beds.

Wild Hair

So what do you do when your big brother (MY brother) gets a wild hair and wants to take the kids to the beach for the day?  You start packing up the car of course!!!  And then you set  your alarm for 4:00am, throw on your suit and quietly transfer the kids from their bed to the car and drive to the beach for the day!

We reached San Diego at 11:30 and had our toes in the sand by noon.  The kids had a blast.  We couldn't keep John out of the ocean and the girls were as happy as could be playing in the sand.  We packed up a little before 5:00pm, rinsed the kids off at the shower on the beach, grabbed some delicious pizza at Luigi's, then ice cream for dessert and hopped back in the car and drove home.  Hope was asleep in about five minutes and Paige about seven.

All five of us had the best day ever and I loved spending some time with my brother laughing until our stomachs hurt.
