This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

This Kid

This little boy of mine is just too adorable...... and he says the cutest things.

AND, I think I've found someone who loves Christmas more than me:)  He is all about it......and I LOVE it!

This morning he came out into the living room and noticed the stocking were down (first time in history I've taken my decorations down before mid January) and says, "Mommmmmaaaaa, where did all the stockings go?"  I told him Christmas was over so I took them down.  He says, "But Mommmmmmm, I love Christmas!"

Finally!

Winter has finally made it's way to Arizona and boy is it cold.  It's been raining all day long....and we've been loving every minute of it.

The kids enjoyed watching the rain out John's window!

X-Mas Day

I LOVE family traditions!!!  We celebrate with Jamie's family on Christmas Eve, my parents come over Christmas morning for breakfast (I made my Mom's infamous belgian waffles this year...ALL BY MYSELF) and to watch the kids open presents and then (after we play with all of our new toys) we head up to my parents for Christmas dinner!

Once again, all you have to do is scroll through the pictures to see what a magical time my children had.

After John opened his stocking (and before seeing all the gifts Santa left under the tree) he said, "This is the BEST Christmas  I ever had!"

Hopie with her "Hope" doll!

Pottery Barn kids has a small collection of dolls and to our surprise they had a "Hope" and a "Paige" doll!  There was no way Grams could pass those up:)

What a wonderful Christmas we had.  We feel so fortunate to be able to spend it with both of our families.

Now bring on 2011!!!!!!

Christmas Eve 2010

I cannot believe Christmas has come and gone again.....sniff sniff.  I guess it's time to start counting down to Christmas 2011!

Despite Daddy being sick, we had a glorious time with our families.

Christmas Eve morning we received a wonderful gift...BOTH kids slept in until 7:30am.....a Christmas Miracle:)  After Hopie and I did a little grocery shopping (for zucchini) we headed up to the cemetery to visit Auntie Brenda.  The kids left her a Christmas balloon and some flowers....and John sang her some Christmas carols!  I know she was smiling down at us.  We then went home to get cleaned up and piled back into the car to go to Grammy and Papa's house for  their annual Christmas Eve party.  And as you can tell by the pictures, the kids had a GREAT time....and LOVE their new bikes!

Hand Delivered

Unfortunately, the kids were sick (Hopie was in the ER until 2:00am) and couldn't come down to the NICU to see Santa this year (thankfully they saw him at the reunion though.)

But have no fear....Mommy hand delivered John's letter!!!!!  And boy was Johnboy excited to see these pictures!

Just Checking

John was just making sure the cookies he made for Santa tasted okay!

When I asked him how many cookies we should leave out for Santa he said, "We need to leave 5 because I'm 5 years old!"

Lucky Santa!!!

Update:  Santa now has 3 cookies because John said they were his favorite in the whole wide world.....and had to eat some for breakfast!

He also informed me tonight (after I bought carrots at the grocery store today).... "Reindeer's don't eat carrots...rabbits do.  Reindeer's eat zucchini!"

Sooooooo, looks like I am braving the crowds at the store tomorrow....got to go pick up some zucchini:)

Sissy LOVES John's hats!  She puts them on all by herself...and wears them whether they match her outfit  or not:)

Why?

Ummmmm, why did I think it was a good idea to wrap the gifts and put them under the tree?

Hopie pulled them all out....and John opened one.  Then when I told John he has to wait 5 more sleeps to open them he says, "But Mommmmm, it's Christmas!  I am all ready.  I put my tree up and hung my stockings up."  He is too cute...and his sweet little voice makes it even cuter.

We are enjoying our last few days before Christmas.....today's agenda, making cookies for Santa!!!!!!
