This is the amazing story of our micro preemie, John Craig. He was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him!
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Jeremiah 29.11
We are having the most amazing summer......birthday parties, water parks, trips to the library with Grams, swimming and TONS of play dates.
My kids look like albinos next to the Poole family....tee hee!
For the record, this was a cold day in June (well, to all of us natives).....weird weather! All the kids were shivering.....blue lips and all but they didn't want to get out of the water! John kept saying, "A few more minutes, Mama! Pease!"
We are making progress in the potty department. After one potty chair, two potty seats and a potty watch we finally are going pee pee on the potty.....periodically. He'll get it eventually and just like everything else, he'll do it when he's ready.
Hopie and I went to our first (mommy and me) swim class today. There were only two other babies in the class.....both boys, both with their Dad's!!!!!! We had so much fun though....and loved being in a small class.
Johnboy is up next. His first class is this Friday and he's VERY excited about it!!!!!
I just sent my baby boy on his first camping trip with Grams and Papa. He was beyond excited and I know he's having a fabulous time. I have many great childhood memories camping with my family and I am so excited that John is able to make those same memories with them too. I sure miss him though!
