Well, John's at school and Mommy's sitting at home staring at the clock counting the minutes until I can go pick him up.
We dressed him in his adorable outfit that Aunt Shernaz gave him for his birthday, combed his hair, and off we went!
Walking up to his new school
Looking as handsome as ever
He loved the playground
So, right as we walked up to the classroom door he tripped and fell face first on the concrete.....not a good way to start the day. He's a champ though (as if you didn't already know that) and picked himself up (after a few tears) and was on his way. This boy amazes me!
Ohhhhhhhh...I can't wait to see his little face when I go and pick him up....in 56 minutes!!!!
And for the record...YES, I cried!!!!
Update:
I am happy to report that John had a fabulous first day at school. He didn't cry once...what a big boy! He loved playing on the playground and also enjoyed creating Mr. Potato Head.
Have I mentioned lately how proud I am of him?

Congrats Jill! My gosh he is just amazing. I am so happy for you all. I love how determined John always looks. So cool!
OK, the tears are running down my face! I could not wait to hear about our little man's first day. Thanks Mommy for the update....
He was definately the most handsome, happy guy there. Way to go, Champ.
Love you so much,
Grammy
Way to go John!! You're a champ! And Mommy - you too! It gets easier - slowly - but it does get easier. Thinking of you all!!
Way to go big boy! Full of wonder and independence as you march off to School. Just like your mom, never looking back as you enter a whole new exciting world of learning. Warning Jill, if he follows in your footsteps you won't be permitted to walk him to school on his first day of kindergarten. He will be walking with the big kids, not mom:) :) :)
Love,
Grams & Grandpa

Your son is absolutely adorable! My son is 3.5 and has cerebral palsy. I remember his first day of school and shedding many tears. You just can't help it! Glad to hear he enjoyed his first day. I day I'm sure you won't forget.
