This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

First Day of School

Well, John's at school and Mommy's sitting at home staring at the clock counting the minutes until I can go pick him up.
We dressed him in his adorable outfit that Aunt Shernaz gave him for his birthday, combed his hair, and off we went!

Walking up to his new school

Looking as handsome as ever

He loved the playground

So, right as we walked up to the classroom door he tripped and fell face first on the concrete.....not a good way to start the day. He's a champ though (as if you didn't already know that) and picked himself up (after a few tears) and was on his way. This boy amazes me!

Ohhhhhhhh...I can't wait to see his little face when I go and pick him up....in 56 minutes!!!!

And for the record...YES, I cried!!!!

Update:

I am happy to report that John had a fabulous first day at school. He didn't cry once...what a big boy! He loved playing on the playground and also enjoyed creating Mr. Potato Head.

Have I mentioned lately how proud I am of him?

Way to go big boy! Full of wonder and independence as you march off to School. Just like your mom, never looking back as you enter a whole new exciting world of learning. Warning Jill, if he follows in your footsteps you won't be permitted to walk him to school on his first day of kindergarten. He will be walking with the big kids, not mom:) :) :)

Love,
Grams & Grandpa
