This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

Hopie's 1st Birthday!

July 29th....what a wonderful day. I still cannot believe a year has passed since Hopie's birth....and what a GREAT year it has been.

Unfortunately Hope's first birthday was bitter sweet. As we celebrated her first year of life we also said our final goodbyes to my Grandma. She was one of the sweetest people I know.....and boy did she LOVE my two kids. How blessed am I that she was able to meet both of them? She even held on long enough to meet her 5th great grandchild, Paige. I love you Grandma and will miss you daily. See you in Heaven!

On a positive note.....thanks to my Grandma, my brother, sister-n-law and sweet niece were able to be here for Hope's birthday.

Sooooooooo, here is a recap of my pretty little princess's special day....

John and I decorated a blueberry muffin for her and attempted to sing, "Happy Birthday!"

That is until she grabbed the candle and burnt her little fingers.....she is now terrified of cupcakes (we gave it another shot after dinner.....but no such luck!) Poor thing!

Present time!!!!! John was such a good helper.

Cousins playing!

LOVE that little tutu bum!

Papa and pretty little Paigers!

Birthday girl!!!

Lovin their Uncle Craig!

Ahhhhhhh, my two babies playing together! Melts my heart every time.

John LOVES his Uncle Craig! Don't we all?

My beauties in the tub!

While the girls bathed....Grams and Johnboy baked us a surprise!

Making sure it tasted okay:)

Brownie batter is the BEST.....one finger isn't enough though. Going for a handful....love my little man!

Sissy enjoying some batter too!

After cleaning her up AGAIN...it was cuddle time with Aunt Alli and Paigers!

And, one last look at the amazing Monsoon before heading to bed!

We love you so much Hopie and thank God daily for completing our family. Happy 1st Birthday sweet heart!!!

Up next...the Birthday Party!!!!!!!!

So sorry about your Grandma...she was so sweet. Leave it to Grandma's though to bring together everyone for such a wonderful day of celebrating. Looks like Hope had a wonderful day...I don't think there is anything better than a day with cousins. So sad about cupcakes...that's gonna have to change :)
