This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

The Things They Say

I really need to be better about writing down all the cute things the kids say......because I never want to forget.

Anyhow, last night I heard John saying his prayers (kneeling beside his bed and all) and the first thing he said was, "God, thank you for God!"  I had just finished telling the kids that God gave them to me and how He choose me to be their Mommy:)  Then as I kissed him goodnight he proceeded to say, "Mommy, leave the door cracked a little, like a booty crack."  Of course we both giggled uncontrollably after that.

John and Hope, thanks for always making us smile....inside and out.

On another note...does anyone know how to block people from reading this blog?  I periodically get random soliciting comments and even a few unnecessary ones.  I simply delete them however, it would be much better if I could remove them permanently.  I have debated numerous times about making this blog private.....I first started it as a way to update friends and family about John's progress (as it was much too difficult and painful to verbally retell.)  I then starting using it as an outlet for my feelings and loved journaling (is that a word?) about our journey.  Then I discovered I was giving "hope"to other families whom I've never met...and for that reason alone, I do not want to go private.  I just don't want any unrelated comments on my blog!
