This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

Buy Jewelry...

...Help save BABIES!!!

Well, one of my amazing friends, Amanda, owns a jewelry company that makes personalized jewelry. The jewelery is absolutely beautiful and priced VERY reasonable. I have been wanting to buy a necklace for over a year now but I knew I wanted another child and wanted to have both of their names on it.....so, now I can finally get it.

Anyhow, Amanda has offered to donate a portion of every sale to the March of Dimes.....all you have to do is mention Team John!!!!!

So, get to shopping at Queen Bee Designs by Amanda! Mother's Day is right around the corner:)

Thank you Amanda for helping us honor our little boy and for supporting a cause that is so dear to me.

It's A...

Well, we actually found out the sex last week but didn't want to tell anyone until it was confirmed and it's a good thing...

Because for the entire week we thought we were having a Boy ( I swear I saw a little weenie!) However, today's ultrasound told us otherwise.....and what I was seeing was the umbilical cord.

We are having a baby GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Operation Big Boy Bed (UPDATED)

We are now on night two of operation "Big Boy Bed" and all is well. Luckily tonight went much smother than last night.

My big boy!

When Grams asked him how many books he wanted her to read.....he held up 4 fingers. So, 4 books is what he got! She's in trouble though when he learns to use his fingers on both hands!

Snug as a bug.

I love that little hand!

And, a huge thank you goes out to Grams for making our transition to a big boy bed a success. We certainly couldn't have done it without you.

UPDATE:

Well, apparently I spoke too soon......last night was rough. Grams put him down around 7:30pm and he fell right to sleep (our first night it took us 2 hours to get him to sleep.) However, he woke up at midnight screaming and crying ( I think he had a nightmare.) This went on for over an hour. I could not get him to settle down and because of my surgery I am unable to lift him (hence the operation big boy bed.) So, the little Monkey decided that the floor was a good place to sleep and he cuddled up next me and fast asleep we went (on the floor in his room.) Daddy got home around 2:00am and put him back in his bed for me.

Wish us luck tonight. Third times a charm, right????
