This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

And...

...they said he'd never eat either!

Grams said he licked his lollipop for the longest time!!!

Bubbie, we are so proud of you. Your determination and drive is inspiring and we love you more than you'll ever know. Keep up the good work....and keep proving those Dr.'s wrong (they said they LOVE when these little ones prove them wrong!!!)

Well, we are off this morning to get screened for speech and hearing.....the first step in the pre-school screening process! Grams will be coming with us.....after 25 years of teaching, she has all of the IEP (IFSP, 504 plan, etc.) lingo down. We just want to make sure we are getting the BEST possible services for our little man.....because after all, he deserves nothing but the best!

I am so happy for you all! I know the joy and strength you receive at each little milestone(or huge in our cases). It is a true reminder that God is in control. They told us Carter's left side of his body wouldn't function and he wouldn't walk or talk. We are so happy to go to those appointments and tell them that they are wrong! I am so happy for John and his progress! You are wonderful parents and he is lucky to have you!!!
