This is the amazing journey of our two miracles. John Craig was born on November 30, 2005 at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 8 ounces and was 12 inches long. John is a true miracle and an inspiration to all that meet him! Hope Amanda, our perfect little girl, is currently recovering from two brain surgeries to remove a 6cm mass from the center of her brain. Hope represents everything good in this world and she too is an inspiration to all.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

Birthday Eve

In preparation for Hope's 1st birthday tomorrow (and birthday party on Saturday) we...

Tried on her birthday hat!

Made her blueberry muffins for breakfast tomorrow....and frosted hers pink with pink sprinkles.

We ate some of her muffins......to make sure they were okay:)

And we made her gifts bags for her party on Saturday. Again, we had to try out a lollipop just to make sure they were okay!

CANNOT believe it's been a year.....and cannot believe that my baby boy doesn't look like a baby anymore...sniff sniff.

Days 5, 6 & 7

Beach, beach, beach!!!

Our last three days of vacation were spent on the beach. Everyday we'd eat breakfast, put Hope down for a nap and as soon as she woke up we'd head down to the beach, stay there until about 2:00, send Jamie and Hope inside for Hope's nap and then Ashley, John and I would go to the pool until dinner time.

This was definitely a wonderful vacation......a fun time was had by all. Can't wait to do it again next summer:)

Day 4 - All Star Game/Beach

Everyone who knows Jamie knows he is a die hard baseball fan.....they also know that our summer vacations are planned around the All Star Game.

So, Tuesday morning....we woke up, showed Hopie her things that John bought her at Disneyland, took Daddy to the train station to head back to Anaheim for Fan Fest and the All Star Game and then off to the beach we went!

Love, love, love this picture! I told John to hold onto Hope....she squirmed and he lost his balance BUT he never let go of her. The look on both of their faces cracks me up!

After the beach we went back to the condo, showered, ate dinner and then went to the pond to feed the Koi fish.

Another great day!!!

Day 3 - Disneyland!

Today definitely goes down as one of the best days I've ever had. The look on my little guys face when he saw Mickey will be etched in my heart forever.

The day started off just as beautiful as the day before.

Ash (my beautiful niece,) John and Papa watching the waves crash down (John thought it was pretty funny).....and waiting very patiently for Mommy to get ready.

Disneyland, here we come!!!

Our first ride.....It's A Small World!!!

John doesn't look too happy....but I promise he was:)

Sharing a cookie with Ash after lunch.

The highlight of our day. I am smiling now thinking back at this very moment. John and Mickey kept hugging and kissing each other.

Waiting for Dumbo!

Waiting for Dumbo AGAIN (and again!) Yes, we rode Dumbo three times.

They pulled Ashley out during the parade. You have to look closely...she's behind Goofy.

John picked out a Goofy doll for himself and got a Minnie doll for his sister.

The Teacups were a hit. He kept saying, "Faster Momma, faster!"

We ended the day (hours past his bedtime) back at the beach condo having a few licks off his humongous (John's words exactly) lollipop before heading off to bed.

This was truly one of the best days ever.
